H.E Akbar Al Baker – CEO of Qatar Airways and Secretary General of Qatar National Tourism Council, has welcomed together with Mr. Khalid Ali Abel – Charge d'Affairs at the Embassy- The president of The Republic of Malta H.E George Vella to a VIP Gala Dinner on the occasion of the celebration of the launh of Qatar Airways new route to Malta.

H.E. Akbar Al Bakar and Mr. Khalid Ali Abel, have paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Dr. George William Vella – The President of Malta. at San Anton Palace. H.E Akbar Al Baker, along with Mr. Khalid Ali Abel. held bilateral meetings with H.Hon. Konard Mizzi - Minister for Tourism, and a number of his Maltese counterparts.  

With The Maltese Minister for Tourism, H.E. Akbar Al-Baker - CEO of Qatar Airways, discussed the implementation of the Malta-Qatar Strategic Partnership Agreement focusing notably on the concrete initiatives taken by Qatar Airways  and Malta on connectivity.
