Reviewed Travel requirements To The Republic of Malta

The Embassy of The State of Qatar presents its compliments to The Qatari citizens and residents in The State of Qatar who are willing to visit the Republic of Malta, and would like to inform about the reviewed travel restrictions on entry for passengers arriving from the State of Qatar , applicable as from 9th August 2021. All passengers arriving from The State of Qatar are not subject of mandatory quarantine in accordance with the Standards of Quarantine for Travelers, providing that they fulfil the following criteria and requirements: 1- A valid vaccination certificate issued by the Ministry of Public Health of The State of Qatar Recognized by the Superintendent of Public Health ( age 12+) for a full course of vaccination (2doses or 1 dose of a single dose vaccine) with EMA approved vaccines, with 14 days after the last dose. 2- A negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Covid-19 test performed not longer than seventy-two (72) hours before arrival in Malta ( age 5+). 3- A completed Public Health Travel Declaration and Passenger Locator Form (PLF) or the Digital Passenger Locator Form accessed from https://app.euplf.eu . 4- Persons travelling to Malta from Red countries/zones must not pass through transit airports in Dark Red countries/zones, observing that they have spent 14 days or longer in red zones before their arrival to Malta.

Mandatory Standards and Covid-19 restrictions

New measures for Covid-19 restrictions has been implemented in Malta as from 11/03/2021 till 11/04/2021 : Restaurants, bars remain closed, Non-essential shops, Schools and Childcare, all organised sports activities, Pools, gym , Museums, Theatres and cinemas, weddings will be closed and Non-Urgent operations at hospital are postponed.
